C(reative) Days Mural

This is a pictures of C(reative) Days Mural on Lasalle-SIA Open House 2007. All foundation students supposed to paint their portraits on walls (it just the other side of students' lockers. What do you think?) There are 5 panels provided for each student. All just in black and white monochrome. I was so tired actually because it took all of my weekend (2nd to 3rd of February.) And I got headache on the whole day after...

I was trying to show movement into my self-portraits. From the top left-hand side going down diagonally to the right-hand side (3 panels), going up (1 panel) and going down again (1 panel).

Hmm.. I think they are quite nice. But we will not see them anymore because my school is going to shift to a new building after the first half of this year. So sad... I want to cut them out soon (I wish...)

OK. I will describe my paintings. We will move from the most left-hand side to the most right-hand side:

1. This is the first painting I did that day. Maybe just a warming-up from my weekend mood. Then I was just playing wet on wet with my brush strokes.

2. Glazing technique. I putted the most effort on this painting but nobody said if it's nice. They said, my 1st painting is better. I (don't) think so...

3. I was trying to paint with Picasso style... Don't say it looks like a pig because i painted the nose bridge with the lightest tone to make it popped-up.

4. White painting (or reverse tones painting). This one is quite difficult because I must switch the tones first.

5. The last one is (failed) cubism painting. Not too bad...

I will post the close views under "portfolio" label.
